Whym lets you talk to the brands you love, and transact in the same place. Use your phone number to pay for things over any messaging channel with brands that use Whym.

Who can use Whym?

Your shoppers that meet the following criteria:

  • Are at least 18 years old
  • Are a resident of the 50 states or the District of Columbia
  • Have a US-based mobile number that is verified by Whym and a valid email address
  • Provide a valid shipping address in the United States
  • Own a US-issued credit or debit card

Is there a cost to use Whym?

As a shopper, there is no additional cost to use Whym. Your order is processed over Whym, directly with the brand you’re buying from.

Is using Whym safe & secure?

Whym is fully PCI compliant. We work diligently to make sure your card information is safe with us. Your cardholder information is stored in an industry leading one-way secure vault. Not even our own staff can access your card information.

How do I create My Wallet?

Your first Whym invitation likely came from a brand you’re already interested in! You’re welcome to use the link they provided or create your wallet at any time.

Why am I receiving messages from Whym*?

Messages from Whym:

  • You’ll receive a Welcome message with an opportunity to opt-in or opt-out of communication after creating your account. This will only happen once.
  • You’ve received a text-to-buy link from a merchant and you’ve initiated a checkout by clicking on the link. Whym has sent you a checkout confirmation. You must reply Y to approve any charge.
  • After each order, you’ll receive a text message receipt.

What if I didn’t receive a text from Whym to approve my charge*?

If you did not receive a text from Whym to authorize payment, try the following:

  • Text the word START to the number 888-818-0859. You need to opt-in to receiving messages from Whym* to approve your charge.
  • - Next, you will need to re-click on the original link from the brand you want to purchase from. or opt-out of communication after creating your account. This will only happen once.

If you are still having trouble receiving our messages:

  • Restart your handset to reset your carrier connect.
  • If you are still unable to receive the message, you will need to contact your carrier.

What if I stop receiving messages from Whym*?

You may have unsubscribed to Whym messages.

  • Text the word START to the number 888-818-0859.  You need to opt-in to receiving messages from Whym*.

If you are still having trouble receiving our messages:

  • Restart your handset to reset your carrier connect.
  • If you are still unable to receive the message, you will need to contact your carrier.

How can I see my orders

Visit my.whymwallet.com to see past orders that you have place using Whym.

You will also have received a confirmation text from 888-818-0859 for each order — check your SMS message thread*.

How do payments work using My Wallet?

Whym is easy to create and use.

  • Engage with your favorite brands that are using Whym.
  • Click on the link in the branded content. If it’s your first time, you’ll need to create your account. You’ll only do this once.
  • Enter your phone number. We’ll send you a text message with a secure authorization code. Verify your identity by entering this number.
  • We’ll text you to confirm your cart total.Reply Y to buy.

Which credit cards does Whym accept?

Whym accepts all major credit cards (Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Diners Club, JCB).

Can I use my debit card with Whym?

Yes, you can use a debit card in your Whym account.

Does Whym accept Apple Pay® or Google Pay?

Yes, you can use your Apple Pay or Google Pay account to complete your transaction. After your order is complete, enter your mobile number to receive your receipt.

How do I know if my payment failed*?

You will receive an error via text message indicating a decline when checking out over text.

What do I do if my payment fails?

Update your payment information in your profile by visiting my.whymwallet.com.

Can I cancel a purchase made using My Wallet?

You can't cancel a payment you’ve confirmed via the payment authorization SMS message. However, you can contact the brand you purchased from to request a refund.

How do refunds work?

All refunds will be handled by the brand that you purchased from. Please contact their customer support directly for assistance.

How do I return an item I purchased?

All returns will be handled by the brand that you purchased from. Please contact their customer support directly for assistance.

What if I see a charge that I didn’t approve?

Whym requires you to approve each charge and we record each confirmation. If you have a dispute for a charge you do not recognize, please contact the brand directly to resolve your issue. If you are struggling to reach a merchant, please feel free to contact us and we’ll see what we can do to help you out.

How do I update My Wallet details?

Visit my.whymwallet.com to update your credit card and shipping address on file.

How do I update my mobile phone number?

Reach out to our team to update and verify the mobile number associated with your account.

Can I have more than one credit card or shipping address on file?

Currently, you can only have one form of payment and shipping address on file.  These are your defaults and will be used when you check out with any brand using your Wallet.

I confirmed an order but realized my shipping address needs to be updated, what should I do?

First, reach out to the brand you purchased from to update the address for your current order.  

Second, visit my.whymwallet.com to update your shipping address on file for future purchases

How do I close my account?
